Middle school begins at 7:45 am.

Yearbooks are available for purchase, $28.00 at the middle school office.

Important update:

Nooksack Valley School District is working very hard to have all our students’ immunization records up to date.  If your student records are not up to date the nurse, Liza Diaz, has contacted you.  We need either the immunization records updated or a Certificate of Exemption on file.  Student records that are not up to date will be excluded from attending school until records are current.

Sports/How to be eligible (cleared):

All athletes must be cleared through the office to participate in sports.  A current physical (valid for 2 years from date of exam) and all the other forms listed on the website are needed.  Forms are found on our website here: NOOKSACK VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL - Forms

You may print the forms and bring into the office when it is open or fill out the PDF and email to NVMSsportclearance@nv.k12.wa.us.  You will still need to come into the office to pay for ASB.

Students may NOT have any fees or fines to be able to participate.

Sports/How do I find my coach and team information:

If you are planning on your student participating in a sport, join the Parent Square group now!  

Once you are on Parent Square look for the group that is your sport.  Participate/Groups/make your selection (Middle School Football, etc.), Join.

You can message the coach through this group with questions about when/where are practices, etc.

As school begins………..

Morning Drop-Off and Afternoon Pick-up:

Students should enter the middle school in the morning through the EAST door.  Parents dropping students off may use the pull-through area beside the gym and students should walk around the building to enter through the EAST door.  

At the end of the school day, we ask that parents that are picking up students pull all the way to the front of the drive through loop.   This allows us to have as many vehicles as possible off the road and helps keep traffic moving.

Parents may also park in the stalls in front of the building while waiting for their child.  If you pull off the road in front of the school, students must use the crosswalk in front of the main entrance and then use the city sidewalk to reach your vehicle.

Please use extra caution during arrival and dismissal, as traffic can become very busy before and after school.  Keeping students safe is our first priority.

Please discuss with your student their transportation home.  If they are to ride a bus home and you do not know their bus number, you can find that information on Skyward, student, Transportation.  This will give you a bus number.  Pick up and drop off times are not listed.

For the most accurate and real time tracking of your student’s bus, please use the Zonar app.  Your student’s number can be found on Skyward/Student/Student Profile; student number. Do NOT include the first zero of your student number on Zonar.

**Please note that Zonar will NOT give accurate real time tracking of bus on Late arrival and Early release days.**

Annual Student Update:

We need your help. To assure that we have accurate and current information about your student(s) and family, we ask that you log in to your Skyward Family Access account and complete the Annual Student Update Online form there. You will find an Annual Student Update tile under each of your student’s name. Please do this for each student. This is also where you would provide your permissions for the sharing (or not sharing) of your student’s demographic information to various entities/agencies (such as pictures, name and grade to local media, vendors, higher ed, military, Bellingham Public Library, etc.). If you need help with your Skyward login, please contact the school office staff.
